Current Projects

In September we were pleased to facilitate a dynamic session of the East Coast Environmental Law Association exploring the concept of an Environmental Bill of Rights. ECELAW has hosted strategic sessions across Atlantic Canada; for a copy of their report please visit http://www.ecelaw.ca/publications.html and look under new publications.

NSEN is pleased to announce that we are a successful candidate for funding from PromoScience, which will allow us to implement a wonderful program for youth in two Mi’kmaq communities on water and water issues.

We are also proud to be a partner with the Chief John Basque Chapel Island Waterkeepers on an important project enhancing watershed clean up and stewardship within the community. More to come on this valuable project!

NSEN is working on an important project on water governance. We want to include your community experiences in our research. To share your story, please write to us at nsenvironmentalnetwork@gmail.com, and be sure to put Water Story in the subject line!
