Join the Climate Change Caucus for a presentation on the proposed wind farm project in Inverness County!
The Rhodena Wind project is in response to Nova Scotia’s Rate Based Procurement program for low-carbon, low-cost energy to fight climate change. Up to 15 wind turbines would be placed on on the hills between Highway 19 and TransCanada Highway 105, mostly on Crown land and private land where we have the permission of the landowner. This renewable energy project would produce 100 megawatts of green power – enough for 32,000 homes and to displace approximately 2.6 million tonnes of CO2 equivalent over its lifetime.
This virtual event is being held in Mi'kma'ki, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi'kmaq people.
